Bad Timing - Shot Breakdowns

Shot lighting and compositing I did for "Bad Timing" (2022). Character lighting required attention to proper shaping on characters, and maintaining continuity between close up shots. Compositing in Nuke involved color adjustments and combining render layers, along with fixing animation clipping by rendering out separate passes and masking them over the main composition with a roto.

"Bad Timing" (2022) is a 3D animated comedy produced by animation lab students at the University of Texas at Dallas. I worked on this project as a lighting and compositing artist, alongside five other artists and a lighting lead. Each artist was assigned shots to create lighting for, which was adjusted on a weekly basis based on notes and feedback from our directors and lighting lead.
